Going Platinum Inc...

A company by the name of Going Platinum Inc. that is based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania came out in August of 2000 announcing that they would be taking the internet by storm. They were about to open their doors to the online world and had plenty to offer… "It is a full-service ISP, Internet Gateway, Search Engine/Directory, Shopping Mall, Virtual Office, and just about anything else you can think of, all rolled into one easy-to-use site."

Offering unbelievable profits upwards of $30,000/month and swearing to have the abilities to turn dreams into reality, Going Platinum Inc. still has the world waiting for their delivery. Originally, they stated that the online mall would be cutting their ribbon around December of 2000. When time came around, no such thing happened. The opening was pushed back to January and has been expected to present itself since. This is left the members fuming. The only money coming into their business is the membership fees that are being paid on what is said to be the basis of a scam.

Going Platinum Inc. has turned out to be a disappointment for those unfortunate members that joined in the early times. You pay $25 to get started but you will be paying plenty to hold your place in their company. The way it is said to work is all you have to do is sign up 39 other members and you will receive 40% of the total money earned by all 39 people. Sadly, the fine print in the “Membership Fees” section does not confirm any of these stated promises.   As it turns out, you are entitled to 40% of the profits after they subtract their $6,125, as a “monthly fee”.

In February of 2001, Going Platinum finally came clean with the fact that CompuBank, the online bank they had been paying commissions through, had cut all ties with them. As a true manipulator would, Going Platinum Inc. responded by posting a letter to all their members on their website managing to completely skirt around the real reason for CompuBank’s decision.

To sum it up, this would have to be the closest to a scam you could legally get. Going Platinum Inc. has managed to prove that they are good talkers but that has been about the only thing they have accomplished. This company should definitely be avoided.
