Melaleuca...

In 1985, a company by the name of Melaleuca was founded.  Their headquarters is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho although they have several offices and manufacturing facilities around the world.  International offices are located in Australia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan. Melaleuca’s manufacturing facilities are located in Eastern Idaho and Knoxville, Tennessee.

Their name comes from oil that is produced by an Australian plant called Melaleuca Virticulata.  Melaleuca Virticulata offers great benefits to your health and body so they incorporated it into the developed each product. They now offer over 300 products, ranging from health care products to home cleaning solutions.  Their marketing strategy is simple and has shown to be effective.  Melaleuca seeks to replace drug and grocery stores with the products that they claim are much better for you.  After taking a look at their products, the prices are not too bad, although still a bit higher than local stores.  I am sure that once you added the price of shipping it would be cheaper to buy the highest quality at your current store.

In 2005, Melaleuca sold over $700 million worth of products internationally.  Business is booming like never before with markets projected to be even better in 2006.  An even better recognized accomplishment is that Melaleuca has been ranked featured on the Inc. 500 list as one of the fastest growing private companies in America for five years in a row.  Only 2% of privately owned companies make it onto this list and they even managed to get an “A” for profit each time.  Since 2000, Melaleuca has also been recognized by two psychological associations for “Best Practices Honor” in the office.

To become a distributor for Melaleuca you do not have any up front costs.  All you have to do is sign up and start referring people.  The income is very low based on reports from 2004.

If you are a Melaleuca Marketing Executive (67% fall in this category) the average yearly income is $104.

If you are a Melaleuca Marketing Executive 2 (18% fall in this category) the average yearly income is $224.

If you are a Melaleuca Marketing Executive 3 (13% fall in this category) the average yearly income is $485.

This is only the lowest ranking, but according to them chances are you will never make it past here.  According to their own published report, only 8% of people ever move beyond this “Referral Status”.  Just in case you think that you have what it takes, they are there to support you all the way.  You can take advantage of the Melaleuca training and support which includes; telephone consultants, motivational tapes and books, newsletter, online training, and a number of other unpublished support systems.
