In 1984, Nu
Skin hit the personal care product market with effective
products that were promised to be completely natural. Nu
Skin has earned its spot since then and they are now one of
the top 30 in their industry. Currently they are earning
about $900 million a year with sales in over 40 countries.
They started in Provo, Utah and now also distribute in many
countries including North and South America, Australia,
Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. Nu Skin is a public company
which means they are part of the New York Stock Exchange.
Nu Skin Enterprise is the parent company of Nu Skin who also
has two sister companies; Big Plant and Pharmanex.
Nu Skin has
been featured in so many magazines it would take a while to
list them. Even though they have grown a very successful
empire, it is all about the products. Every press release,
article, or statement that has been released is regarding
their unbeatable products. This has been a great marketing
strategy because it makes it truly appear that Nu Skin is
not in it for the money. It really is all about the customer
satisfaction.
Every
product that can be bought from Nu Skin has been through
extensive research with lab experiments being performed on
each one. Nu Skin guarantees that all of their personal care
products will produce great results. Nu Skin offers products
to help with acne, aging, dry skin, oily skin, and even has
a skin lightening system that will leave your complexion
looking softer. With over 100 products currently on the
market you are sure to find just about anything you are
looking for.
If you would
like to be a distributor for Nu Skin there is a $35
membership fee and $20 annual renewal fee. They claim that
all their members receive the latest information in
technologies that are being used to make Nu Skin products.
You will be trained to actually serve all of your customers
with skin care advice and tips that are taught to you
directly by Nu Skin. According to their website Nu Skin
claims to have the best compensation plan on the market
(they all say that). If you want more information regarding
their business opportunity you must contact an active
representative.
Based on reviews there have been some negative statements
released about Nu Skin’s business practices. You must sell
a large volume to qualify for commissions, and
ex-representatives claim that they have unreasonable
restrictions placed on the collection of your commissions.
Another minor issue is that Nu Skin does not allow you to
distribute business cards with the company name on them.
Overall, this looks like a reliable company with quite a bit
to offer if you are willing to do the work.
