Christine Maxwell is a 27 year veteran in
the publishing, market research, and online information
businesses. She worked as a marketer in publishing for
Pergamon Press and Macmillan. Her first publishing company,
started with her twin sister, was called The McKinley
Group. She created one of the first search engines and
guide to the Internet, “Magellan.” Then Christine Maxwell
founded Chiliad, a software company that specializes in
finding data, using natural language search technologies.
Christine Maxwell has developed considerable expertise in
information and knowledge retrieval and dissemination. Her
own research company, Research On Demand, has been
completing projects for major companies and educational
institutions since 1980. Today, this company is evolving
into decision science and how to handle “information
overload.”
