For more than thirty years, Michael O’Donnell has been one of the worlds most honored and respected mountain guides and world class explorers. More than this, O’Donnell is an accomplished corporate trainer and personal life coach. He provides assistance to some of the world’s top executives in developing new insights for leadership and organizational development. With the same spirit he uses to help climbers reach the top of high mountain summits, O’Donnell incorporates the same in his views as a team builder and corporate coach. O’Donnell has had a varied background in business management, working within different industries.  He had a very successful ten year management career with Schlumberger offshore. During this time, he developed some of the key insights into business cultural affairs. Conversely, due to his mountaineering expertise, Michael O’Donnell has worked extensively in the power line industry and been instrumental in the development of better rigging and served as a safety consultant. Similarly, O’Donnell’s unique combination of business and mountain-climbing experience gained him recognition in the film industry both as a climbing and rigging consultant and as a personal coach and trainer. He has consulted actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Belushi and George Clooney.

Much of his business coaching and consultation technique has been incorporated into a process, O’Donnell calls Best Year Yet. He has been using this method for more than twenty years to aid individuals, teams and organizations in producing positive results year after year. More specifically, Best Year Yet is a essentially an annual planning and implementation system that is designed especially for leadership teams.
