Oprah Winfrey, we all know that she has made a huge impact in the talk show industry but did you know she is also one of the most successful entrepreneurs?  Her work is perhaps the best of the best due to her incredible dedication to setting goals and making them happen.  As with all marketers, her greatest task at hand was to get noticed, undeniably she has accomplished this!

It all started with a radio station that simply flourished when this 17 year old young woman walked in to stir things up while capturing the attention of everyone.  It wasn’t long before news stations began begging Oprah Winfrey to liven up their shows with her enthusiastic personality.  At 19, she embarked on her first television appearance as the news anchor for WTFV-TV, as the youngest person to achieve this position.  After only 10 years of co-hosting numerous news broadcasts, she began her journey in the AM Chicago morning show.

The whole world now knows this show as the Oprah Winfrey show because her first year was filled with so much success that everyone wanted her to take the talk show one step further, national broadcasting.  The Oprah Winfrey show has earned her over 15 Emmy’s for “Best Talk Show” with over 30 million loyal watchers in over 111 countries.  It is people like Oprah Winfrey that prove to the world that you can not only do anything you can dream, but everything you can dream.

As if this was not enough, Oprah Winfrey has added her touch to many businesses.  Her most victorious is the creation of Harpo Studios (Oprah spelled backwards), now Harpo, Inc. giving her full authority in the production of the Oprah Winfrey Show.  She is also the co-founder of Oxygen Media which represents the Oxygen Network, a well liked women’s entertainment channel.

The list of accomplishments is endless with her successful ‘O Magazine’, movie roles such as "Sofia" in The Color Purple, and television appearances all over the world.  When meeting her in person, you would never know her to be the billion dollar entrepenuer she is today.  Her attitude is said to be humbling, enlightening, and present a refreshing outlook compared to most who have built an empire such as hers.  It is almost certain that we have not heard all that we will hear from this remarkable role model for all.
